Mityana District COW fails to pay Teacher’s Salaries for the last 5 Months. According to one of the staff member in Mitya told our reporter how and why they don’t know they have not yet received their salaries since July 2023.
He went ahead and narrated, we’re so much in pain how this Government of H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is treating some individuals and sectors particularly Education sector.
President Museveni adamantly refused to pay well teachers across the country Uganda and he instead decided to pay only Science teachers genuinely.
Same time, the teachers that are poorly paid are given just small tokens and not even on time.
Mityana District COW fails to pay Teacher’s Salaries for the last 5 Months.- For the last 5 months many teachers have not received their salaries since the month of July, 2023. Today it is November and the year is ending. Teachers are all yawning but have continued to work since July without pay.
The Staff who did not want to mention his names said that the District Chief administrative officer has been dodging phone calls and her office for lack of what to tell to those teachers who are not earning.
He continued to note that it is COW’S responsibility to ensure all workers of his/her District are paid fully and in time.
He said December is here, we have debts (loans) with banks in town. We have not been paying them for all this period. Who’s responsible?
The new term of taking our kids back to school is approaching as well but District officials are not concerned.
Where should we run to? he complains” We’re so disheartened by such irresponsible leaders of the district and the government atlarge.

The staff said, that the problem is authorities at the District are all biased and political not interested and nolonger serving the public but personal interests
