The Royal Wedding and the Nyegenyege two big Events in One Kingdom. The Eastern central part of Uganda, the so-called Busoga region and the Kingdom witnessed two major and huge events ever to take place in the premxmity of just days.
November 18th was such a very big day for the people of Busoga. It was such a historic day, a day when the King of Busoga His Highness Kyabazinga Gabula Nadiope IV wedded his longtime Sweetheart HR Queen Jovia Mutesi.
The event has collected and attracted a number of dignitaries including the King of Swaziland King Mswati who also attended
Among other people who attended included first Son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and his wife Charlotte,
Former Speaker of Parliament Hon. Alitwala Rebecca Kadaga attended in full swing and was one of the main mobilizers of this big event.
The deputy Speaker of Parliament Mathew Tayebwa also attended alongside other dignitaries for lack of time and space to mention them all here.
18th, November 2023 was such a huge day that the People of Busoga celebrated the Royal Wedding from all parts of Uganda.
The Royal Wedding particularly that was aired on most Radio Stations in Kampala and Televisions saw all the Basoga hooked to the live streams of the Wedding ceremony especially those that didn’t afford to attend in person.
Another huge event that still collected people of all sorts from even as far as different Countries, parts if the World came to Jinja to witness the Mighty Nyegenyege 2023.
With the power of Nyegenyege an annual Celebrities event that take place in Busoga at the Nile sources, Jinja and the Kingdom were the biggest beneficiaries of this economic cycle ever.
The Busoga Kingdom Royal Wedding has raised the eyebrows of people in questioning when will other Kingdoms such as that of Tooro as well engage their spouse as well?
