Alien Skin defends Uganda’s youngest billionaire, Hamis Kigundu aka Ham, over his decision to jet in self proclaimed Nigerian, Africa’s giant Burna Boy to the official opening of the Nakivubo stadium, rebuilt to international standard, by Ham himself and companies.
This comes after an internet outcry from Uganda’s music fans and some of their Artistes, who felt cheated. Who were suggesting, Ham to use the more than 3.5billion shillings to bring Burna Boy, in bringing at least all the best Uganda’s Artiste from all the regions, with Uganda’s top Artiste Alien Skin leading them.
In this way, he would have spent within Uganda, to build Uganda.
When fans of Alien Skin saw that Ham is not responding, they took it straight to Alien Skin, on his tiktok live, and introduced to him their suggestions.
Answering them back, Alien Skin begins by acknowledging his first and only time he met the young money bag, and what he learned of him. Alien says that, “There’s no stupid rich man”, as it’s always said. “Therefore, there’s many reasons why Ham must have chosen to use Burna Boy over the local talents.
For instance, Ham may be wanting to market his stadium to the international sports bodies, by using an international Artiste like Burna.
After Burna’s performance, Uganda’s will receive free international news, reacting after his performance. In that way, Ham can easily pitch for hosting of forth coming international games and sports competitions in the stadium etc”.
Alien Skin adds, “It will be an advantage to home talents to perform on the same stage with this idolized African international music act, and realize own potentials too. Because, you can’t know your potential till you compete with a senior”.
It also gives local talents to freely mix and interact with this international Artiste and plan collaborations instantly, which would have taken much time and resources to accomplish if it’s to go the professional way like first sending an email to his Managers,
